Redbourn Classics Public Parking

Please note that this role is for public parking and not classic cars.

Parking our visitors’ vehicles as quickly, efficiently and safely as possible is an important role at Redbourn Classic Car Show & Village Fete.

There will be 4 parking areas around The Common and bays will be marked to aid efficient parking! Each of the parking areas has three shifts throughout the day to help visitors arrive and leave.

Blue Badge (disabled) parking will also be available and sign-posted accordingly.

Upon arrival you will be able to collect your high-viz jacket at lanyard from the Control Tent. Please remember to return these after your shift.

In due course maps will be issued to show you where the Classics Exhibits will be, as well as the Control Tent, First Aid Post and the other important visitor locations, such as toilet facilities and pedestrian entrances to the exhibits and fete site.

Water will be available to volunteers at the Control Point, and we hope to be able to offer a free complimentary food voucher to be used at the food stalls, as thanks to you all.

A defibrillator will be located in Redbourn Community Group bus, as well as a fully operational St John Ambulance who are kindly supporting our event this year.

Please make yourself visible when manning the car parking area(s), by standing by the carpark entrances, and remind drivers to drive slowly and safely, to be aware of moving vehicles as people leave their cars, as well as mindful of children.

Classic Cars Exhibitors will be parked by a dedicated team on the common area by the Methodist Church.

During the day, if there are visitors’ questions that you cannot answer; please ask them to go to the Control Tent, where someone will be able to help. The Control Tent should also be contacted for lost children and incident reporting.

If you notice a bin bag is full can you please take it out of the bin and tie it up. A replacement bin bag is in the bottom of the bin. The litter collection team will pick it up on their rounds.

In the unfortunate event of an incident your first role will be to move people away from the scene to a place of safety. Call for assistance. Please bring your mobile phone with you since there will be a dedicated number for emergencies – 07769 970970 – based at the Control Tent. If the incident is life threatening, then call 999.
